International Carnival Parade:
The International Carnival Parade is the jewel in the crown of the carnival festivities in Kvarner and beyond. Competitions in creativity, humour and originality, fireworks of colours and shapes result in a parade of hundreds of allegorical floats, thousands of masks and a countless number of visitors from home and abroad.

Rijeka Children’s Carnival Parade 2020:
The Children’s Carnival Parade is a carnival event in which the youngest generations from Croatia and abroad take part, when a river of little ones in a colourful masked parade floods Rijeka’s Korzo. On that day, numerous characters from fairytales and beautiful creatures of imagination are the main protagonists of the Rijeka Carnival, attracting numerous visitors from all over the world.
Rijeka Carnival Queen Pageant and the handover of the city key:
The carnival madness in Rijeka starts with the Rijeka Carnival Queen Pageant and the handover of the city key to the Master of the Carnival. In this event, which over the last couple of years has taken place in the Youth Sports Hall, the Carnival formally gets the most charming spokeswoman of masked groups. In front of a crowded Youth Sports Hall, in a special musical and scenic performance, the carnival group’s spokeswomen - the Rijeka Carnival Queen - gets elected and will participate in all formal Rijeka Carnival's presentations.
Masked 'Paris-Bakar' Rally:
Masked 'Paris-Bakar' Rally is a traditional event organised by the 'Rijeka' Automobile Club. This rally is a parody of the world famous rally 'Paris-Dakar' and has been a supporting sport event of the Rijeka Carnival since 1990.
Masked 'Paris-Bakar' Rally is a unique event of its kind in the world, with motorised participants from different regions, all of them - drivers, co-drivers and referees wearing masks, while their decorated vehicles tell a story of their own.
