Produire au Sud Workshop:
Produire au Sud is a workshop for participants to acquire the tools needed for international coproduction. It is for young directors and producers from Africa, Latin America and Asia.
Created in 2000 by the Festival des 3 Continents, the PAS workshop is today organised throughout the world as a complement to and at the same time as the annual festival week in Nantes
Des 3 Continents Festival Moments of glory:
The Competition has also had its moments of glory: Souleymane Cissé (Mali) in 1979, Hou Hsiao-hsien (Taïwan) in 1984, Abbas Kiarostami (Iran) in 1987, Wong Kar-wai (Hong-Kong) in 1991, Tsai Ming-liang (Taiwan) in 1993, Jia Zhang-ke (China) in 1998 and many more.
Des 3 Continents Festival 2020 Submission Requirements:
Directors must originate or be nationals of an African, Black American, Latin American or Asian country or region.
Films must be at least 45 minutes in length.
Films submitted for the competition must have been completed after 1st November 2014 and be unreleased in France (no programming in Festivals, commercial screening, no TV or VaD broadcasting) before the opening of the Festival des 3 Continents.

Des 3 Continents Festival will be held 20 to 27 Nov 2020 in Nantes, France. Des 3 Continents Festival has been and remains a place for discovery and meeting, for exchanges and passion. Every year since 1979 in Nantes, at the end of November, the Festival des 3 Continents offers feature films (fiction and documentaries) from Africa, Latin America and Asia. This specialisation in geographical terms, a pioneer at the time, does not do justice to the identity of the Festival. It is just one of the elements which gives it life and makes it distinctive, along with passion and curiosity, a taste for discovery and meeting, a love of films from the South and a desire to serve them.
