AVANCA film festival 2020 Conference:

Since 2010, festival's team have organized the international film conference AVANCA | CINEMA, becoming the most important conference in the field of cinema in the Iberian Peninsula. This conference brings together speakers and participants from around the world. Thematic exhibitions, editions of books, bibliographic presentations and various projects have marked these last 3 years of AVANCA with the quality that compels the festival and the participants obviously require. The AVANCA, as a scientific conference with double-blind review, wants to offer to all the participants a broad and unique meeting place. The program is varied and includes film screenings, workshops, book releases, round tables, as well as parallel and plenary sessions.

Call for Papers AVANCA | CINEMA 2020:

Those interested in presenting papers in AVANCA | CINEMA, must submit their abstract until: 31 January 2020

Registrations in the following categories are admitted:

• CINEMA: short and feature films in fiction and animation;
• TELEVISION: documentaries;
• VIDEO: experimental videos less than 20 minutes long.

AVANCA film festival 2020 Conditions of Admission:

Works admitted for selection must join the following conditions:

1. Be produced after January 1, 2014;
2. Unreleased in Portugal;
3. Not available on the web.
4. Works that have not been presented for selection in earlier editions of this festival.

Film Submission Deadline:

• March 31, 2020: Deadline
• May 31, 2020: Notification Date
• July 27 – 31, 2020: Event Date

Entry Fee: 12€ (euros)
