Ars Independent festival will be held 24 to 29 Sep 2019 in Katowice, Poland. Ars Independent festival is a film, animation, video games and music videos festival. The four international competitions are the core of Ars Independent. The Black Horse of Film is aimed at directors of full-length, feature debuts and second films. The authors of their first, second or school short form animation will showcase their work in the Black Horse of Animation competition. The Black Horse of Video Games and the Black Horse of Music Videos are dedicated to new video games and music videos. The festival programme consists of film screenings, presentations of video games, jury reviews, thematic sections, meetings with authors, exhibitions and concerts. Competitions of Ars Independent festival 2019:

  • The Black Horse of Film Competition:

Directress and directors of full-length features, both debuts and second films produced after January 1st, 2019 will compete for the Black Horse of Film title, statuette and a monetary award of 500 euros.

  • The Black Horse of Animation Competition:

Directress and directors of school animations and animated debuts and second films produced post-graduation after January 1st, 2019 will vie for the title and statuette of the Black Horse of Animation and a monetary award of 500 euros.

  • The Black Horse of Video Games Competition:

Authoress and authors of video games produced after January 1st, 2019 will compete for the title and statuette of the Black Horse of Video Games and a monetary award of 500 euros.

  • The Black Horse of Music Videos Competition:

Directress and directors of music videos produced after January 1st, 2019 will vie for the title and statuette of the Black Horse of Music Video and a monetary award of 500 euros.

 

Submission of Ars Independent festival 2019:

May 31st, 2019 is when the call for entries for the competitions at Ars Independent Festival 2019 ends. The list of nominees will be announced on August 22nd. All it takes to submit a film, animation, video game or music videos to a competition is to familiarize yourself with the respective Rules and Regulations and fill out the electronic Entry Form.
