Art Toronto is delighted to announce the 2024 galleries selected for Discover, presented by RBC. This program, co-created by Art Toronto and RBC, offers galleries exhibiting at the fair unparalleled opportunities to spotlight emerging artists, as well as artists who are reemerging, to new audiences. Eight galleries were selected by a committee made up of Stefan Hancherow, RBC Curator; Mia Nielsen, Director, Art Toronto and Rhéanne Chartrand, Art Toronto Focus Exhibition Curator and the Hatch Curator of Indigenous Art & Culture, ROM.
At the 2024 edition of Art Toronto, these galleries from across Canada and the United States will forge meaningful connections between their emerging artists and influential audiences such as curators and collectors, providing invaluable opportunities for their artistic journey.

Platform is Art Toronto's original series of lectures and panel discussions from prominent art world figures. Included within the Platform Speaker Series are Power Talks, a series of lectures organized in partnership with The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery.
Separated into three thematic programs—Going, Growing, and Gone—the inaugural installment of Art Toronto’s VERGE Video program presents a dynamic selection of contemporary moving image art. In an effort to bridge the worlds of independent and experimental film, animation, video art, and beyond, VERGE Video offers a unique selection drawn from galleries, distributors, and independent practitioners, both Canadian and international, with several of the eighteen works exhibiting in Toronto for the first time. The three programs will be on display throughout the fair’s duration in the newly designed VERGE section, which highlights new and innovative galleries.
Taking place in the new SOLO section, join a selection of Art Toronto’s SOLO artists as they discuss their work through the lens of shared themes.
Each talk will feature two or more artists and analyze works exhibited within the context of the fair in conversations moderated by art professionals
Since 2009, Art Toronto and the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art have collaborated on the commission of a benefit edition by a Canadian artist. Each year the limited edition work is made available for sale exclusively at Art Toronto, and has included both emerging and established artists. All proceeds from the sale of the works support programming initiatives at the Museum Of Contemporary Canadian Art.
The mandate of the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art is to exhibit, research, collect, and promote innovative art by Canadian and international artists whose works engage and address challenging issues and themes relevant to our times. MOCCA is committed to providing a forum for emerging artists that show particular promise and to established artists whose works are considered to be ground-breaking or influential.
The official opening of Art Toronto is a unique and important benefit gala for the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) which has raised $5 million dollars over the past 15 years. Funds raised at the event help support the AGO’s compelling exhibition and education programs, with a portion of the proceeds going to purchase works of art at the Fair. A highly anticipated
part of this must-attend event is the acquisition of artworks by the gallery to “enhance the AGO’s permanent collection”.
