Essen Security: The international meeting place for solutions relating to everything to do with civil security

The No. 1 for more than 40 years, Security Essen is the world's most important trade fair for security and fire prevention. The world market for security is booming – it is presenting itself with all its facets in Essen.

The whole world of civil security under one roof: This unique overview of the market at Security Essen is attracting great international interest. On the first two days of the fair, 39 percent of the visitors to the 2014 fair had travelled from abroad – 9 percentage points more than 2012.

From Asia to North and South America, from Greenland to New Zealand - the decision takers at and the trade visitors to Security Essen are literally coming from all over the world. Moreover, a large number of countries are dispatching delegations which are obtaining information about innovations at the premier global fair - including Morocco, Norway, the US and the United Arab Emirates.

On the first day of Security Essen 2014, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China were also guests. They took part in the conference which was entitled 'Perspectives of German-Chinese Technological Cooperation in Disaster Risk Management' and was organized by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Global Initiative on Disaster Risk Management and Messe Essen on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Fire Prevention Day at the Security Essen – that means spectacular open-air demonstrations, papers held by top-class speakers and exciting discussion forums. Fire Prevention is one of the important topics at security Essen.

Essen Security will be supported by Feuerwehr Essen ('Essen Fire Service'), Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Leiter der Berufsfeuerwehren (AGBF - 'Working Group of the Managers of Professional Fire Services'), Werkfeuerwehrverband Deutschland e. V. ('Works Fire Service Association of Germany') as well as bvfa - Bundesverband Technischer Brandschutz e. V. ('Federal Association of Technical Fire Protection').
