Handel Festival will be held 24 May to 09 Jun 2024 in Halle (Saale), Germany. Handel Festival has a different theme every year which forms the dramatic climax of the programme. The Handel Festival is an international music festival concentrating on the music of George Frideric Handel in the composer's birthplace. It was founded in 1922 and it grew into a center of Handel studies and performance in Europe. Especially Handel's operas have been staged regularly, some of them as first revivals. The Handel Festival takes place in Halle, the city of Handel’s birth, with internationally acclaimed stars and authentic venues. It stands for tradition both in the performance and reception of Handel’s works, as well as for innovation and crossover. The main objective of the festival, since 1952, has been to perform the complete works of Handel according to latest research. It consistently offers its international audience new pieces, rediscoveries and a variety of interpretation styles, most of them in historical Handel venues, such as the cathedral, the Marktkirche, Handel House, or the historical Goethe-Theater Handel Festival is an event and I like events...
